Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: July 29, 2026

READ THIS DISCLAIMER BEFORE USE. BY PURCHASING OR USING ANY PEPTIDESCIENCE PRODUCT, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS DISCLAIMER AND THAT YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK OF USE.

PeptideScience sells topical cosmetic products that use micro-channel delivery — including dissolving microneedle patches (FORMULA PS-01) and micro-infusion applicator kits with copper-peptide (GHK-Cu) ampoules (FORMULA PS-02). PeptideScience products are cosmetics. They are not prescription drugs and not medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, injury, or medical condition. Statements made by PeptideScience, on the Site, in product packaging, or in advertising have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Micro-channel cosmetic delivery contacts living skin — read the contraindications below in full, and always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new skincare or scalp-care regimen.

1. No medical advice; not a substitute for medical care

The content on trypeptidescience.com — including but not limited to product descriptions, advertising, blog posts, prelander articles, illustrations, customer reviews, testimonials, customer-service correspondence, and any other content of any kind — is provided for general informational and cosmetic-care purposes only. None of it is medical advice. It is not a substitute for the diagnosis, treatment, or recommendation of a qualified healthcare provider, dermatologist, or physician familiar with your medical history. Do not disregard, delay, or modify medical care or advice because of anything you read on the Site or in any PeptideScience material. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

2. FDA status; no medical claim

PeptideScience products have not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. No statement or claim made by PeptideScience, the Site, advertising materials, customer-service personnel, or any third party is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, injury, or medical condition, including without limitation androgenetic alopecia or any other form of hair loss, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, scarring, photoaging, or any disorder of the skin or scalp. PeptideScience products are offered as general cosmetic self-care products. Any use of any product to treat a disease or medical condition is at your sole risk.

3. Results not typical; testimonials

Testimonials, reviews, before-and-after stories, customer quotes, and other endorsements on the Site or in advertising reflect individual experiences and are not representative of typical results. Many factors outside PeptideScience's control influence results, including age, skin and hair type, hormonal status, lifestyle, diet, underlying conditions, adherence to the recommended protocol, concurrent care, and natural variation. PeptideScience makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee, express or implied, that you will experience any specific result, benefit, or outcome, within any advertised timeline or otherwise. Any depiction of mechanism, anatomy, follicles, skin layers, or before/after appearance is a simplified educational illustration, not a diagnostic image or a claim of effect in any specific user.

4. Micro-channel delivery — special notice

PeptideScience products contact and briefly breach the outermost layer of the skin. Dissolving microneedle patches and micro-infusion applicators create temporary cosmetic micro-channels in the skin surface. This is a cosmetic process, not a medical procedure — but it means hygiene, skin condition at the application site, and your individual health status matter more than with a rinse-off cosmetic. Mild, short-lived redness, tingling, or pressure sensation at the site can occur. If you experience bleeding, persistent redness, swelling, warmth, pus, or signs of infection, stop use immediately and seek medical care.

5. Who should NOT use PeptideScience

Do not use PeptideScience products if any of the following applies to you. This list is illustrative and is not exhaustive. You are solely responsible for determining whether use of a given product is safe for you.

  • You are allergic or sensitive to copper, copper peptides (GHK-Cu), or any other active or inactive ingredient listed on the product packaging, or you have been diagnosed with Wilson's disease or any other disorder of copper metabolism.
  • You have a bleeding or clotting disorder, or you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication ("blood thinners"), including but not limited to warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel, or daily aspirin therapy.
  • You have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.
  • You have an active infection or inflammatory condition at or near the application site — including bacterial, fungal, or viral infection (including active cold sores / herpes simplex on the face), folliculitis, open acne pustules, eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis flare, sunburn, or any broken, irritated, or oozing skin.
  • You are immunocompromised or on immunosuppressive therapy (including chemotherapy, biologics, or long-term corticosteroids), or you have any condition that impairs healing.
  • You have diabetes with impaired skin healing, peripheral neuropathy, or reduced sensation at the application site.
  • You have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past six (6) months, or you are currently using prescription topical retinoids, exfoliating acids, or other prescribed topicals at the application site, unless your treating clinician has expressly cleared concurrent use.
  • You have had a cosmetic or dermatologic procedure at the application site within the past four (4) weeks — including chemical peels, laser, microneedling, fillers, or injectables — unless your provider has cleared use.
  • You are pregnant, believe you may be pregnant, or are nursing.
  • You are under 18 years of age.
  • Any patch pouch, ampoule, or applicator arrives damaged, unsealed, or with a different appearance than expected.

If you have any chronic medical condition, are taking any medication, or have any doubt about whether use of a PeptideScience product is safe for you, do not use it. Consult your physician or dermatologist first.

6. Safe-use requirements

You must, as a condition of using PeptideScience products:

  • Read the complete product packaging and printed instructions before first use.
  • Apply only to clean, dry, intact skin or scalp. Wash hands before handling patches, ampoules, or applicators.
  • Never reuse a single-use microneedle patch. Each patch is sealed for one application only. Discard after use.
  • Never share applicators, stamps, or opened ampoules with any other person. Clean and store the micro-infusion applicator exactly as directed between uses, and replace it on the schedule stated in the instructions.
  • Follow the stated wear time, application frequency, and dosage. More frequent use, longer wear, or heavier pressure does not improve results and increases the risk of irritation and infection. Micro-channeling should never draw blood — if it does, you are pressing too hard; stop.
  • Do not apply cosmetic actives (retinoids, exfoliating acids, vitamin C) to the treated area immediately after use unless the instructions expressly permit it.
  • Protect treated facial skin from direct sun exposure and use broad-spectrum SPF during the treatment period.
  • Stop use immediately and consult a healthcare provider if you experience persistent redness, swelling, pain, blistering, signs of infection, or any unexpected reaction.
  • Keep all products away from the eyes, mouth, nostrils, and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a poison control center (in the US: 1-800-222-1222) or seek emergency medical attention.
  • Discontinue use if any contraindication arises or is later diagnosed.

7. Assumption of risk

BY PURCHASING OR USING ANY PEPTIDESCIENCE PRODUCT, YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH ITS USE OR MISUSE, including but not limited to risks of allergic reaction, contact dermatitis, skin irritation, redness, tingling, bruising, pinpoint bleeding, infection at the application site, post-inflammatory pigmentation, scarring, aggravation of existing skin or scalp conditions, new injury, and any other risk, whether or not foreseeable. You acknowledge that the Site, product packaging, marketing, advertising, and customer-service materials contain general information only, and you accept full responsibility for evaluating whether a given product is suitable for your individual circumstances.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PeptideScience, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, licensors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use, misuse, or inability to use any PeptideScience product; (b) your failure to comply with this Medical Disclaimer or the instructions on the product packaging; (c) the use of the product by any person for whom it is contraindicated, or with whom you shared an applicator or patch contrary to Section 6; (d) any condition you have or develop, regardless of causation; or (e) any injury, harm, or loss to any third party in connection with your use of the product. See also the Terms of Service, Section 13.

9. No warranty of safety, efficacy, or fitness

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PeptideScience disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the safety, efficacy, fitness for any particular purpose, or cosmetic or therapeutic effect of any PeptideScience product. The remedies available to you are described solely in the Refund & Returns Policy. No employee, contractor, or agent of PeptideScience has authority to make any additional representation or warranty, oral or written, regarding the medical, therapeutic, dermatological, trichological, or cosmetic effects of any product.

10. Adverse-event reporting

If you experience any adverse event — including but not limited to allergic reaction, persistent irritation, swelling, blistering, signs of infection at the application site, or any other unexpected condition — in connection with your use of a PeptideScience product:

  1. Stop using the product immediately.
  2. Gently cleanse the area with mild soap and water, and seek medical attention as needed.
  3. Report the event to safety@trypeptidescience.com with your order number, the lot/batch number from the product packaging (if available), a description of the event, and any photographs or medical documentation you wish to provide.

Submitting an adverse-event report does not give rise to any settlement, payment, admission of liability, or assumption of responsibility by PeptideScience. We may use information in adverse-event reports for product-safety review, regulatory compliance, and any other lawful purpose.

11. International users

PeptideScience products are intended for sale and use in the United States. Regulatory classification of cosmetic micro-channel and peptide products varies by country, and in some jurisdictions products of this kind may be regulated differently or restricted. Use of any product outside the United States is at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for compliance with the laws, regulations, and customs of your jurisdiction. PeptideScience disclaims any obligation to comply with non-US cosmetic, drug, device, consumer-product, or import regulations.

12. Choice of law and disputes

This Medical Disclaimer is governed by, and any dispute relating to it is subject to, the choice-of-law, arbitration, class-action-waiver, jury-trial-waiver, and one-year-limitation provisions of our Terms of Service, which are incorporated here by reference.

13. Changes

We may modify this Medical Disclaimer at any time, in our sole discretion, with or without prior notice. The Disclaimer in effect at the time of your use governs your use.

14. Acknowledgement

By purchasing or using any PeptideScience product, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Medical Disclaimer; that you assume all risk of use; that you indemnify PeptideScience as set forth above; and that you have not relied on any representation or statement not expressly contained in this Disclaimer and our other posted policies. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use any PeptideScience product, and return any product you may have already received under the Refund & Returns Policy.
